Chevrolet Repair: brakes, ford crown vic, caliper

Question
Hi Van, i have a 93 ford crown vic. 140000 mi. when i put on the brakes it pulls to the left hard, it just started this. i think it might be the caliper but which one needs to be replaced ? the pasenger side or the driver side ( if this is the problem ) thank you ,   Ray

Answer
Hi Ray,
Does it pull all the time, or just after you have used the brakes for a while?
What I am thinking, is one caliper may be sticking, and heating that side up.
One thing that will help isolate that, is when it is pulling, stop and feel the wheels. If one is a lot hotter than the others, that would probably be the sticking caliper.
Of course, if one is a lot cooler than the others, that one may not be applying at all.
The condition of the pads needs to be checked also.
