Chevrolet Repair: 96 Chevy Tahoe stallimg, spark plug wires, chevy tahoe

Question
I have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe that occasionally stalls when shifting into gear. This only happens when going form park to reverse or drive. It does not happen all of the time (one out of six times). When I try to restart the engine it acts like it is not getting enough gas. However after I am able to finaly get it started it is okay when driving. I have had the local Chevy dealer and two other garages look at it and they all say the same thing. The fuel pump and injectors all have correct presure and the "check engine" light has not come on.

I dont know if this has anything to do with it but when this happens the radio goes out at the same time. However when the radio goes out it comes back on 3 or 4 seconds later. Any help would be great!

Note: I have replace the spark plugs, distrbutor cap & rotor, and spark plug wires.

Answer
Did you tell this radio problem to the shops that you had it into ?.

Obviously you have a loss of battery voltage to the radio circuit and most likely to other sources such as the fuel pump circuit.

This type of fault is very hard to diagnose and repair.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as an electrical line may have been knocked loose. Look around in the area where work was performed..
