QuestionI was given this van about two years ago. It did not have reverse then and doesn't still. When I put it into reverse, the engine will lower in rpm slightly but the van doesn't want to move. From cheapest to most expensive, what could cause this problem? By the way, all forward gears work fine.

I am not a transmission specialist.
Sounds like a band isn't holding...either a servo or the band.
I would drop the pan...if nothing else, the oil will at least be changed.
But you might try to find an expert that does transmissions.
