Chevrolet Repair: Chevy van power window, chevy van, door switch

Question
I have a 91 Chevy van G20. The passenger side power window motor has quit working and needs to be replaced. I'm willing to do the work, but need some kind of step by step instructions (preferably with pictures).

Can you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Ronnie

Answer
Door switch would be the cheapest, but just may need a motor.
A loose wire connection would be the first thing to check, and then check voltage and ground from the switch with a meter.
Yes..ground. The switch controls ground, as well as power, because to change direction on the motor, the switch must reverse connection to power and ground.

A good manual, like Mitchell, has a test and troubleshooting section.
You can read, and make copies, at the public library, refference section.

Good luck,
Van
