Chevrolet Repair: 88 suburban- Stalls at stop sign, chevy suburban, throttle plate

Question
Hello, new guy here,i like this site! You have probly heard this a million times ill bet, but here goes,,i just bought a 88 chevy suburban,,350 TBI,with auto. Engine runs great at cold-start,,upon/after warm-up engine will stall upon stopping(starts right back up easy). engine still runs great after warm-up, but the stalling issue anytime i approach a stop sign is getting annoying. It doesnt do it always, but nevertheless, it stalls after warm-up coming to a stop..Cat-converter is not plugged,,i just tuned it, plugs/cap/wires/rotor,all filters/oil/pvc,,,it has new tranny, new brakes,A/C does not work. The check engine light does not come on except when key is turned(momentary)or when stalled(no flashing),,vacumn lines look good.
I used to be a ASE truck/auto specialist(mainly engine/head/block rebuild/repair),,I am worthless though when it comes to electronics.I am now disabled , but i can still tinker some with my vehicles(light stuff).
i appoligize for the long question,,but ,,,
Any ideas i can look at for this abnormal stalling when i come to a stop?

Thank You,
mike

Answer
Check inside of the throttle bore where the throttle plate is located and you will see a blackish residue buildup. Clean all of this residue off of BOTH sides of the throttle plate and within the bore. What is happening is that this residue is NOT allowing the throttle plate to close all the way thus staling the engine.
