Chevrolet Repair: 2000AstroVan 4.3Lvortec, damp weather, pep boys

Question
Having difficulty starting in damp weather after a long sit. Usually a hair dryer under the hood for 1/2hr cured the problem - then this winter, it died on the 401 at hwy speed after driving an hour -temp about zero a little snow in the air. began electrical repairs after diagnosed cam sensor replace/ rotor cap & rotor /drove it home (2hrs)Clear & Cold, then for a week of short hops - started and ran perfectly - on a longer trip (10 min driving) died again!(snow in the air.)I could feel it stumbling then just died at 90 kmph.  After 10 min of cursing/pumping accel. it started and I coaxed it home by pumping the accel.-Ichanged gas filter /plugs /wires/pcv/airfilter - ran fine then trip to To 2hrs - snow in air-stumbling again. added half mixture with Ultra 94;Check engine icon appeared. Cont.on-engine still sumbling-later that night-snow in the air-stumbling again-parked for a week-wet/snow/rain-wouldn't start till next day-cold & sunny. Ran fine but engine light still on-I expect cause of the emission control? About 160000km-any suggestions-Running fine lately-though hard to start in damp weather/cold start only.

Answer
You neeed to have the DIAGNOSTIC CODE extracted from the computer as I need to know what CODE # is causing the engine light still on.

Usually any larger auto parts store such as autozone, checkers, napa, pep-boys, etc will extract the code and tell you the code # for FREE when you take the vehicle into them.
