i have a 1996 chevy s10 blazer and for about 2 wks now on and off it has stalled on me i took it to get diagnosed but they could not find a problem with it they said it was intermittent and now i am having my fuel filter changed and my pcv valve and fuel system cleaned could you help me and tell me what you think it might be. thanks so much!

Answer
There are just to many possibilities that causes this problem. The most likely would be:

1. A residue buildup within the throttle plate and idle air speed chambers of the throttle body. This can be easily cleaned by a reputable technician.

2. A possible TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) solenoid intermittent failure of which will require removal of the transmission pan to replace the solenoid.

3. A vacuum leak in any of the numerous vacuum lines.
