Chevrolet Repair: Wheel Bearing, cavalier, bolts

Question
Hi Mark, I have a 2002 Cavalier.  The front left wheel bearing needs to be replaced.  I have someone doing the work for me, but they are unsure how to replace the bearing, as well as the tools they need to get at the bearing.  If you could give me as much information as you can, that would be great.

Thank you for your help,
Heather

Answer
Hello Heather, The first thing to do is remove the wheel. Now the 30mm nut from the axle. Now tap on the axle to make sure it is loose and will slide out of the bearing (don't mess up the threads). Now remove the 3 bolts that hold the bearing to the knuckle, I think these are 13mm. Remove the bearing and install the new one.

Hope this helps
