Chevrolet Repair: Turn signal flasher & Heater fan, chevrolet blazer, turn signal flasher

Question
1997 Chevrolet Blazer, S10, 4 door.
I can't seem to find my turn signal flasher unit.
Would you be able to tell me where it is? Four way flashers are working.

My heater blower fan blows when it wants to.
It will shut off and on at it's own discretion.
Could you tell me what the problem is?

My service engine light is on. It is had regular service. It runs great.  What does this mean?
Thank you so much for you time!

Answer
The flasher can be in one of 2 locations.

1. Under the dash, mounted near the steering column on the backside of the dash panel level with your knees as your sitting in the drivers set.

OR

2. Under the glove box on the passengers side.

Go purchase a NEW Turn signal flaher FIRST, Then you will SEE what your looking for.

As for the blower motor does it operate OK on HIGH SPEED ONLY ?.

Also, What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a  wire connection may have been disturbed and came loose during the reapir.

Look around in the area where work was performed.

The SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT is telling you that there is aproblem with the emissions system and will require a repair facility to diagnose the peoblem and extract the diagnostic code(s) from the vehicles computer system.
