Chevrolet Repair: egr valve/solenoid, egr solenoid, vacuum line

own a95 lumina sedan, service engine light on faulty egr solenoid as per mechanic I replaced egr valve and a few hours later engine light back on.Does the computer need to be re-set or do I need another diagnostic test?

Usually the EGR SOLENOID and the CONTROLLER are seperate components.

You may have a problem with the vacuum line(s) going to the controller and or wiring problems to the controller or at the computer and or a fault in the computer. You need to TEST the electrical circuits.
