Chevrolet Repair: 1989 Chevy Cavelier Z24, chevy cavelier, scan tool

Question
I have a Cavalier that will start, run 10 minutes, then die.  If I wait 5 - 10 minutes and try again, it will re-start.  Then it will run for another 10 minutes and die again.  It does this over and over again.  

Any ideas?

Hello Tom, The first thing you need to is see what is going away. Spark or fuel..

 I'm going to guess that the ECM (computer) is your problem. These ECMs in those years went bad often. If you had a scan tool you would be able to locate this problem fast.

Take it to a shop and see what they say
