Chevrolet Repair: Corvette Lights, light fuse, light socket

Question
I have an 84 Corvette. When you turn on the lights the headlights flip and work fine. The interior lights and taillights do not come on. When you step on the brake the interior and tail lights come on. When you step off the brake the lights go off again. any idea?

Answer
Hi Steve, Sounds to me like you have a bad tail light socket. Do the dash lights come on with either turnsignal? If they do then that would be the side where the problem is. Your tail light fuse is most likely blown too. Check this fuse, it might have blown from a short in the rear socket.

Let me know what you find
