Chevrolet Repair: No power, chevy s10 blazer, s10 blazer

Question
Hi!
I have a 1996 Chevy S10 Blazer. I drove it to the store and everything seemed fine. I went back out to my car and tried to turn it on and it was dead. No power at all, not the windows doors radio and the car didn't even turn over. When the tow truck came the driver checked my battery and said the battery was fine? What can it be? Is it electrical. I looked at the fuzes and they look fine.

Thanks

Answer
Hello Juanita,
If you have one of those batteries that has both top posts, and side posts, I have seen them with internal connections in the battery that were bad.
The top post test would show a real good battery, and if connected to the top posts, it would work fine.
But the side posts didn't make contact inside.
If your battery is good, then at least the headlights or flashers would work.
Bad battery cables, or loose connections at the engine ground, or starter post could also be the problem.
