Chevrolet Repair: fuel quantity indicator malfunction, fuel level sensor, fuel injector cleaners

Question
I have a 2001 chevy suburban that gives me a annoying 'low fuel' warning light along with empty indicator even with the full fuel tank.Sometimes, the indicator does not show the correct amount of gas when you start the truck initially and it takes quite a time(minute or two)to indicate the right amount of gas. With full tank, it happens more often that the light comes on and off. there is no particular patterns that I noticed, but it happens uphill, downhill or even while cruising. When the warning light turns on, the indicator goes  empty right away. but when the light is out, sometimes the indicator won't go back where it is supposed be immediately but gradually increasing.Or sometimes, it goes right back up. I tried some fuel additives and water removal, fuel injector cleaners, but none of them would help.
Please let me know what the problem might be. I'll appreciate that very much.

Answer
Your most likely fault is within the fuel height sensor and fuel level sensor within the fuel tank and or the electrical connections at the fuel tank.

If the electrical connections are OK, then you will have to drop the tank and remove the fuel meter assembly of which incorporates these above said components.

Sometimes the BAFFLE assembly comes loose from inside the fuel tank of which is merely a small 12" square plastic pan with holes in it to prevent the sloshing of gas against the above said sensors. IF this pan is loose from the tank the tank will have to be replaced
