Chevrolet Repair: 01 Chev Venture Wipers vertical when off, crank arm, vertical position

Question
If I turn the wipers off, the wipers park properly and after about a second delay they reposition to the vertical position. It doesn't happen when using the wiper delay.

Hi Derek, There is what is called a crank arm that can break when there is snow or ice on the window and you turn on the wipers without clearing it off. The crank arm will break or there is a stop that can get bent. When this happens the wipers will not park correctly. If your any good with repairing you can buy a crank arm from the dealer and install it yourself. Just be sure to repair the bent stop so it will contact the arm on the crank arm.
