Chevrolet Repair: heater fan, gmc safari, safari van

Question
I think my question is easy:  My son has a 92 GMC Safari van.  When he turns on the heater there is a high pitched noise--like a squeal. My guess is there is a problem with some part of the heater motor. Is this something we can fix (oil a bearing, tighten a belt or is the motor impossible to get to or need special tools) or something that needs replaced.   If it is relatively easy to fix, perhaps a few instructions.   thanx

Answer
Hi JJ, You need to replace the blower motor. The bearings inside have gone bad. You can do this yourself in about 20 minutes. It is located under the hood on the right side and has about 6  9/32 head screws.
