Chevrolet Repair: 97 Chev Malibu Trans, chev malibu, chevy malibu

I have a 1997 Chevy Malibu.  Has 3.1 'm' with what appears to be a sealed transaxle, no dipstick that I can see.  My question is how much fluid does this transaxle hold if you have had the pan off?  I haven't done anything to it yet because I don't know how much fluid to put back.  Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi Steve, This trans will hold 7.5 qts with the pan taken off. To check the fluid on this trans there is a plug that is located at the right axle output. The plug is 11mm in size. You remove this plug with the trans warm and running in park. The fluid should just come out when full. Who thought of this right!!
