Chevrolet Repair: cavalier timming chain, 2000 chevy cavalier, chevy cavalier

I'm buying a 2000 chevy cavalier convertable z24 with a 2.4L engine. The person is selling it because the timming chain needs to be fixed. How much will this cost, and can I put a turbo on the engin?

Your probally looking at $500.00 including labor to repair this. Its also possible you can put a turbo on the engine, but it will cost you big money. Getting back to the timing chain, I know some vehicles require the chain to be changed at 60 thousand miles. What happens in some vehicles once the chain snaps, it will bend the valves, in the engine, and do alot of damage. I would d question more before buying the vehicle.. Thanks,,,
