Chevrolet Repair: DISTRIBUTOR, engine firing order, o clock

Question
I need help with the firing order for the distributor cap on a 1988 chevy s/10 pick up with a 2.8L engine.

Answer
Firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6.


Standing at the front of the vehicle looking at the distributor

On your left side of the engine from front to back are cylinder numbers 1-3-5.

On your right side of the engine from front to back are cylinder numbers 2-4-6.

IF you have NOT moved the distributor: looking at the distributor cap at between 6 and 7 o'clock is where # 1 plug wire goes.

Going around the cap in a CLOCKWISE rotation the rest of the wires are 2-3-4-5-6.
