Chevrolet Repair: Heater Core replacement 66 Impala, heater core replacement, 66 impala

Question
I have a son in law who is trying to replace a heater core on a 1966 impala.  Unfortunately I have been unable to find any illustrations or instructions on doing this.  I was wondering if you could help.
The engine is a 327 with air conditioning.

Answer
I know on the 68 to 70's you have to after disconnecting the battery and draining the radiator:

1. remove and plug BOTH heater hoses.

2. Remove the NUTS from the air distributor duct studs on the engine side of the firewall.

3. emove the glove box and door assembly.

4. From under the dash, You have to DRILL OUT the lower right air distributor stud.

5. Pull the distributor from the firewall.

Seems everyone forgets step # 4.
