Chevrolet Repair: s-10clutch, first timer, rubber cord

Question
Im fixing to change a clutch in my 91 s-10, would like to know any tricks to make it easier for a first timer ,acess to housing bolts?I do most of the repairs on my cars. Thanks for any input. steve

Answer
Hi Steve, Not a bad job on this truck. Tricks...after you lower the rear of the trans remove the 4 bolts for the shifter to the trans. Now connect a rubber cord from the inside mirror to the shifter to hold it up out of your way.
Now remove the trans bell housing bolts with the trans dropped down.
