Chevrolet Repair: Chev Van Brakes, chev c30, brake warning light

The brake warning light on my 1990 Chev C30 van came on.The fluid levels are correct and the brakes are fine,in fact very good.I disconnected the lead from the equaliser valve and it made no difference and it is not caused by the parking brake switch.I ignored the light for about a month and it has now started flashing.I asume it is in the electronics but what and where are they located.

You most likely have a fault with the ABS CONTROLLER and or one of it's external electronic components. You will see this black plastic box mounted near the master cylinder. Chevy has had problems with this ABS system in it's early years from 87 thru about 91. this will require professional diagnostics.
