When did this start? After a tune-up, or any repair whatsoever? After fuel fillup?

I drove it yesterday about 23 miles form school to home and it was giving a little sputter at about 23oo rpm's, by the way this is an HEi electronic ignition, so i dont know could it be the control module inthe distributor? or the coil itself? my freind also said it may be starving for fuel but i checked the fuel filter and its clean also said somehtign about the carb but i just purchased it a few months ago  it is an edelbrock 650cfm electronic choke setup

Answer
Don't think much about the 'ol AFB's myself, however, from here it sounds like a fuel delivery problem, check all hoses/lines for cracks, kinks, clear back to the tank, also, you don't have that fuel line next to a heat source do you, such as, against engine or any part of it? AND, since you changed over to HEI(smog devise), I hope you didn't use the exsisting point coil wire for your power source, if so..."there's your sign"!!
