Transmission Trouble? It has a sluggish acceleration to start with and then it shifts 1 to 2nd gear but, then it doesn't change into 3rd until you manually push it into overdrive to settle the rpm's down. It revs so high I feel like it will blow the engine. All the fluids have been maintained routinely including a transmission flush.

Hello Scott, The first thing I would do is replace the fuel filter. When the filter get plugged you need to push on the gas pedal a lot more and the trans thinks your like tring to pass someone so it doesn't shift until late. While this is happening your car speed isn't what it should be to get the trans to shift so it just revs up and you don't get any speed.

Let me know how it runs after the fuel filter change
