Chrysler Repair: 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JX, chrysler sebring convertible, chrysler sebring

Question
Hello,

I have a 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. When I turn on the heater, it blows warm for a few second and then goes cold. I have already replaced the thermostat and that didn't help the problem. I checked out the blower mechanism and that seems to be OK. It will shoot the few seconds of heat out of any of the three positions. My thought is now that it must be the heater core. Does this seem right? If so, how do I get the heater core out? I know it is in the dash but some instructions would be great :-)

Thanks!

Wil

Answer
make sure the coolant level is good and see if the pipes going to and from the heater core are close to the same temp. For instructions on how to remove the dash i would suggest buying a manual all my stuff does not have pics and would be a few pages long which i am not going to post on here.
