Chevrolet Repair: motor surges when i stop, fuel pressure regulator, chevy 3500

1998 chevy 3500 with 350 vortex when i pull up to a stop sign or light and stop the idle bounces from 400 rpm to 1000 rpm Help! thanks for your time.

Hi Kelly, I haven't seen this before. The only thing that comes to my mind is the fuel pressure regulator. If this truck has a vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator, remove the hose and look for any sign of gas. Replace if any sign is there.
