Chevrolet Repair: 1994 corsica, sourt, fuel pump

Question
We have a 1994 chev.corsica with a 4 cyc motor
it runs great , it has 135000 miles on it . We stop at the stop sign and then went to give it gas and it just quick there , it well turn over but well not start . Could this be a relay of some sourt or the fuel pump . Could you please give me some ideas of what this might be.

Hi Lynn, You need to do a couple of things to locate the problem. First check for spark, Then spray some carb cleaner into the air intake and have someone cranking the engine at the same time. If it starts to run then your fuel pump is the most likely problem.
