Nissan Repair: gear shift light, nissan altima, d light

i have a 03 nissan altima 2.5sl automatic. the light is out on the shifting gear thats between the front two seats. could u tell me how to replace the bulb? i tried to find places to take off the cover but failed.

Hi Frank -

Are you speaking of the power light, or overdrive (O/D) light on the console?

If so, the entire console has to be removed to access that light from the back. It should be held down by 4 - 6 screws on the side of the console. You will have to move the seats back and forth to access. The shifter head might also have to be removed after removing the console for total access.
