Chevrolet Repair: hot start problem, air intake hose, fuel pressure regulator

Question
My 93 chevy lumina 3.1 vin code T car has been giving me problems starting when hot. It cranks fine but reqiures me to hold the gas peddle down aprox half way to start. Like a flooding conditon.
it will start right up when cold. I smell fuel after I drive it and shut it down, and When I checked to see if perhaps the air filter was clogged I found the short air intake hose that connects the air cleaner to the trottle body was very wet with fuel. This has been going on for a long time like a year and I have done the following with no results; replaced, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, wires, pcv, tps, idle control sensor, fuel cap, even the eprom chip, the same problem before and after. I don't get any trouble codes. And check engine light does not come om. I am worried that continued operation like this will mess up an otherwise fine running motor. It idles good and has plenty of power. I am frustrated.
Thank you,John

Answer
Hi John, The first thing to do is remove the hose going to the fuel pressure regulator and see if there is gas inside the hose. If the regulator diapham has a small hole it will leak gas into the throttle body through the vacuum hose. This will make it start hard when hot.

Let me know what you find
