Chevrolet Repair: searching for a part.........., chevy cavalier, salvage yard

Hi. Sorry to be a bother, but my mom has been searching for a part for her car, and we live in a small town, so she hasnt had the best of luck. She has a 1989 Chevy Cavalier station wagon 2.8---and she is needing an air filter housing. Everyone here says that she has to go to a chevy dealer, and that is too expensive for her.Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi Lissa,
A salvage yard can usually find one from another salvage yard if they don't have one at their own yard. Doesn't cost anything to check with them. They will want to see the car, or at least have the engine size, and probably the Vin#.
