Chevrolet Repair: New Chev truck, chevrolet avalanch, new chev truck

I purchased a new chevrolet avalanch truck with the 5.3 liter motor.  I notice that when I drive the truck and let my foot off the accelerator that thew truck continues to travel at speeds of approx 20 miles and hour.  I brought the truck back to the dealer and they said that all chev trucks act this way.  This appears to be a safety problem?  What do you think?

Hi Charles,
If it is supposed to act that way, either it will say that in the operators manual, or he should be able to show you something in a service manual.
The salesman that sold it to you should let you take another truck or two for a ride to see if they do it also.
