I'm trying to locate a Driver side door Latch assy. Do you know where I might looK?. Also, how common is it for a wiper motor to actually go out?

The wiper motor probably didn't go out. The control board inside the motor assembly housing is probably what you need...where the wires connect. often you can unplug it, and replug it and make it work for a while.
There was a recall campaign on that part for a bunch of Chevy products, but I don't know if that one was included. Worth asking a dealer parts department. Have the VIN # with you.
That is also a good place for a handle, but a salvage yard also is good.
Beville auto salvage, in Lawton, Oklahoma probably has one.
