Chevrolet Repair: fuel system, chevrolet monte carlo, foot on the gas

Question
I have a 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a 3.1 V-6.One day it wouldn't crank. When I tried to, it just kept turning over but wouldn't catch. When it did it was hesitating (valves rattling) and cutting off and sometimes when i put my foot on the gas it just sits for a second (lost of horsepower) then it picks up speed again.Sometimes it cranks up with no problem. I've had a fuel pump and an inline fuel filter installed and all fuses have been checked and it still does the exact same thing (starts and cuts off when it wants to). What else can I do?

Answer
Hi Anthony, I'm not sure on this one but I think you need to get it to a place that scan the computer to make sure all the sensors are putting out a correct reading. Most of the time it is just a bad fuel pump. There isn't anything else that is common to go bad. I would want to make sure that the fuel pressure is good even with a new pump installed.

Let me know how you make out
