Chevrolet Repair: water pump, fan clutch, chevy pickup

Question
How do I change water pump in 1992 chevy pickup,350 v8/air/automatic

Answer
Hi Tom,
You start by draining the coolant, and catching it so animals can't get to it and drink it. It will kill them deadern a stone.
Then start unbolting stuff that is in the way so you can get to the pump.
Take the fan, and fan clutch off.
You may even want to remove the radiator, and have it cleaned and tested whil it is out.
Then unbolt the pump from the engine.
Carefully scrape all the old gasket off.
Reassemble with a new one.
Any bolts that screw clear into the water jacket need some sealer on the threads.
Good luck,
Van
