Chevrolet Repair: Low beam failure, gmc safari, low beams

Question
I have a 1992 GMC Safari that I just bought. I discovered that when I have just the park lights on that the low beams seem to be on. When I turn the light switch on they go off. My high beam switch does turn my high beams on. I am wondering if this is a switch problem or if I replace the headlights if this will correct the problem. My question I guess is would the day running lights go through the high beam filiment?

Answer
hi Ron!  I think it is a crossed wire or bad switch.  I do not think replacing the headlights will correct the problem.  To my knowledge, the running lights do not go through the high beam.  Good luck on it, and if I can help you in any other way, please do not hesistate to ask.
