Chevrolet Repair: Bogging down and stalling, clogged catalytic converter, muffler system

Question
Hi there.  I have a '92 Z24, 3.1L, lately, for the past few months, the car acts up while driving, and sometimes while idling.  It shuts down, light comes on with 4 troulbe codes; 1-5, 2-3, 4-3, 5-3.  If I am idling and it stalls, it will turn over and start, then shut down, but if I put gas to it, it will go, but black smoke comes out and it feels like it is running on 1 less cylinder....shakes a bit.  While driving, if it tries to stall and stutter, I tramp on the gas and it does the same thing.  What could that possibly be?  The codes reveal EGR Valve (it is digital, any way of testing that?), and the Coil Pack (any way of testing this?), and the other 2 I forget.  On my 15 minutes ride home, it acted up for about 10 minutes.  Sometimes it kicks in and out and this time, it didn't.  I just added more gas.  And the muffler system is really loud.  So I decided to go around, for some reason, and touch my tail pipe, and there are extensions on them, and they were hot, not red, but burnt my two fingers.  Would that be from a clogged catalytic converter?  Hmmm, I am wondering.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer
Sounds like you have a lot of issues with this vehicle. I would suggest a diagnostic run on the vehicle from your local garage. It could be any bad sensor on the vehicle. You could be spending alot of money changing this and that without knowing for sure. I would go this route.. Ty..
