Chevrolet Repair: Suspension, tire place, slow speeds

Question
I own a 98 Chev Venture mini van. Recently I've notoced a side to side wobble that seems to be in the rear of the van. It is worse at slow speeds and when cornering. I watched the van drive from  all sides and can see nothing out of the ordinary.
The tires seen to run true and are wearing fine.
Could it be a shock problem? They are original

Answer
Hi Ron,
If the shocks are worn out, they may not stop a rocking motion like they are supposed to, but even with the shocks clear off, they wouldn't cause a rocking motion.
It is hard to see an out of round tire while driving beside it. I would take it to my tire place, have them check the balance, and look at them for bent wheel or tire breakdown while they have it on the balancer.
Of course, you would do nothing except possibly improve the ride if you were to get some new shocks on it.
