How can you make sure that a new battery was installed in the car and do the battery have dates on them and if so where do I
find it.

The battery will typically have a decal label adhered to the top of the battery and that decal has punch-outs that are for the month and the year that the battery was sold. It will also state the duration of the warranty on the battery, and of course the manufacturer. If it isn't obvious then look around on the sides of the battery. But that punch out type of label is how you would go about determining when the battery was first sold.
