Chrysler Repair: electric window: 08 Sebring, sebring convertable, chrysler sebring

i have a 2008 chrysler sebring convertable when i put the windw down it wont go up right away,but will eventually aprox 5 min.dont know if its the up and down switch or the switch that puts the window down when you open the door.do i have to take the panel off to get to it,and how

Hi Denny,
Unfortunately, the last manual I have of the covertible is an '06. There was no convertible sold as an '07 so even though I have access to the manuals for '07 there is nothing in there for the convertible model just the sedan. The only '08 manual I have is for the mininvan.
I wish I could give you something specific about your '08 but everything I have would be for the '06 model.
In that model the master switch could be removed by gently prying up on the rear of the bezed to release two clips at the rear, and then do the same at the front of the bezel. That would give you access to the switch to check it electrically. The balance of the syttem is in the door and for that the panel has to be removed. I have the '06 wiring diagrams and master switch connection table but we couldn't be sure it is the same for your '08.
Whether the door panel comes off identically is an unknown as well, I would just have it for the '06 model.
I wish I had the '08 manual but have not found a low cost CD of that yet.
