hi guys i have a disco serieses 2 2000 tdi  after about 200 klm after a fuel refill i developed a   metallic tapping noise on top of engine i am a diesel fitter i checked the top end of engine all valve gear good & spring collets in place removed injectors replaced old injectors engine now tight on starter motor turns freely by hand have the injectors got to be programmed as i didn't put them back in the correct order and do you have any idea what the metallic noise is all help would be appreciated

The order of injectors should not matter.  I don't know what's wrong but the first thing I would try is fresh injectors and fresh fuel.  You may be hearing knock from mixing gasoline with the diesel, which can happen in the tanks of the petrol dealer.
