Chrysler Repair: Natural Vacuum Leak Detection Pressure Switch, vacuum leak detection, orange red

Question
Where is it located and look like on 2002 300M

Answer
Hi Jim,
Is this question due to a fault code number?
On the '04 manual that I have, the NVLDP assembly is mounted on top of the evap canister. The canister is attached to the side of the fuel tank at the rear corner (it appears) The switch is part of the assembly so to get to that the manual says that the fuel tank has to be drained and dropped down (a 15-step process). The assembly has a 3 wire plug: black goes to a nearby ground, white/dark green is the solenoid control and goes to the pcm (pin 8 of the 3rd plug if you have the 4 plug pcm) and  the switch's signal wire is orange becoming orange/red on the way to pin 35 of that same plug which is white in color. So that is where it is located and what you have to do to get to it.
You could check out the wire continuity before taking it all down. The first disconnect is under the rear seat to the right of the midline, and is black, with 6 pins and the fourth pin is the orange and orange/red meeting point. From there the wire goes to left corner underneath the dash in the cabin where there is a 10 pin natural color disconnect where you will find the orange/red wire on pin 6 (just above the combination flasher which may click when you use the turn siganls). From there it goes to the pcm plug under the hood.
I can copy the procedure about dropping the fuel tank from the '04 manual and attach it to an email.
To do that I need you to send me a NEW Question, not a follow-up, and check the keep the question PRIVATE box. Tell me your email in the test area of the question.
Roland
