Chrysler Repair: 93 lebaron: turn/head lamp, wiper mal-function, chrysler lebaron, lebaron convertible

Question
QUESTION: I need to know the procedure for accessing the rear passenger window of a 93 lebaron convertible. The motor works cuz you can hear it working. The cable either needs to be replaced or reattached and the Haynes manual does not go into the detail of rear window repair. I would certainly appreciate some guidance here.

Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Benjamin,
There is not a cable but rather a pump/compressor that drives two lift hydraulic cylinders. You may be low on hydraulic fluid. You need to remove the cover to the pump/compressor area which is located behind the rear seat in the well to gain access to the lifting unit. You will find there the filler cap for the hydraulic fluid.
Whether you can successfully replace the window depends upon what sort of part you can get and what the condition of the cloth is surrounding the window. My suggestion would be for you to join the Chrysler Lebaron Club at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/thechryslerlebaronclub/ where you will find several hundred convertible owners who will answer you based upon their experience. There is also a log of previous postings that you can search there.

QUESTION: Also, the turn signal, dimmer, and wiper delay are malfunctioning as well. Do I need to replace the bezel?

Answer
I am not clear as to what you mean by 'bezel' as that usually refers to an object that surrounds something else. On the turn signal and dimmer I would first buy some spray can electrical contact cleaner at an electronic store and try to spray the interior of the switch body on the chance that the internal contacts are dirty or corroeded. The same thing would be appropriate for the wiper control switch. If you write back tell me the results and also describe what is or is not working.
