Chrysler Repair: theft system?: 92 Fifth Ave., private option, option choice

Question
QUESTION: where can i buy a theft system for my 1992 Chrysler fifth avenue

ANSWER: Hi Chris,
I don't have any suggestions about that. I do have the wiring diagrams for that car and you may find that some of the wiring is already present in which case you would need to get the VTSS module from its location above the glove box opening from a wreck. You would want to verify how much wiring is going to need to be done. I am a bit surprised that you don't have on on the vehicle already. Are you sure that you don't? It may be that you have the system but that it has been disabled because it had problems with functionality. Do you have the original owner's manual or other history of the vehicle?

Answer
Hi Chris,
I now understand that you have the factory anti-theft system, is that correct? Or is it an after-market system? Does the paperwork appear to be published by Chrysler or by another company?
There is some self-diagnostic things you can do if it is the factory system. Also it is complicated because I need to know how the car is equipped:
What type of instrument cluster (mechanical or electronic)?
If mechanical, do you have a visual message center (yes or no)?
There are two pages on how to test the system so as to diagnose the problem. If you will tell me your postal mailing address I will send the pages to you so that you can see what that approach tells us. Then knowing all the above we should be able to get the system working again.
Use the 'private' option choice when you ask the follow-up question.
