Chrysler Repair: Misfiring: Code 0352 3.2L, chrysler concorde lxi, 1999 chrysler concorde

Question
I have a 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXI engine 3.2 and im getting a 352 code stating primary b engine coil i can sart my car up and drive a little and i cuts off what is the problem

Answer
Hi Antoinette,
That code is focusing toward the low voltage circuit of the #2 cylinder spark coil having some sort of problem. It could either be a faulty connection of the electrical plug to the coil, a fault in one of the two wires that operate the primary winding of the coil, or the coil's primary winding may itself be shorting to ground or opening such that you loose the spark on that cylinder's spark plug. Because the engine shuts down entirely I would suspect that either the coil is shorting the 12v power that operates all the other coils as well to ground or the insulation on the dark green/light green wire that goes to that plug has been damaged and so is shorting the 12v to ground that way. If the engine however begins to miss but doesn't cut off then it is more likely the 'driver' wire (tan/pink which goes to pin 3 of the engine computer) that is flaky or again the coil primary could be flaky but not shorted such that the spark to that coil/plug is being killed nonetheless.
If you have experience with a volt-ohm meter you may be able to sort this out, but if not it should be a straightforward repair which at most would be a new spark coil plus maybe a half hour of labor to diagnose and repair by a good engine electrical repair shop. You might do better to look for an independent engine electric shop than to go to a dealer, but at least you now have the outside possibility as to what is the problem.
