QUESTION: CAR WILL NOT START WHEN HOT? REPLACED PLUGS AND PUT IN NEW CARIB! CAN DRIVE IT FOR HOURS WHEN I TURN IT OFF IT WILL NOT START UNTIL IT IS COLD. WHAT CAN I DO.

Answer
The possibilities are:
the fuel lines are too warmed such that the gasoline is vaporized (called 'vapor lock'). You could try cooling off the lines by pouring cold water on them to test for that.
Or the choke valve may returning closed too soon so observe whether the valve is open when it won't start and the engine is hot. If that is the case there are several possible causes.
Does the carb throat show (when looking doewn into it) that fuel is available when you operate the accelerator lever?
