It then almost stalled then starting running normal again. It did this to me also two days ago when i was also sitting at a light. What could be causing this problem?

ANSWER: Check the battery terminals at the battery for corrosion and/or looseness. That seems to be the most common cause for the problems you describe.

Answer
After doing some further research I can find no cases that match your concerns that don't involve the battery or terminals. If you've already verified that the terminals are clean, tight and in good shape then it may be time to look at the battery itself, as well as the main battery grounds to the engine and body. Follow the negative battery wiring back to where it connect to the engine and body, make sure the fasteners are tight. If all is OK you may need to replace the battery. Especially if it's the original battery that came with the vehicle.
