Chrysler Repair: 04 Pacifica - How to Replace Left Motor Mount, chrysler pacifica, mount cradle

Question
QUESTION: 2004 Chrysler Pacifica 3.5l  Replace Front Motor Mount...I have read the Alldata Instructions...My problem is when I raise the engine up to remove the Engine Mount & Cradle the engine timing cover hits the frame and does not allow the engine to rise enough to gain clearance to remove the mount.  Any suggestions?

ANSWER: Hi Neal,
If you are speaking of the 'upper motor mount, the manual says to simply support the engine, not to raise it.
Steps are: remove the air cleaner housing
Remove bolts from inner frame rail.
Remove bolts from engine.
I don't know if that will help you or not, but give that a try.

QUESTION: This is the front hydraulic mount on the underside of the engine...I did have to replace the upper mount also...It was a breeze!!!

Thanks for the reply...

Answer
Hi Neal,
That is called the "left mount" by the way. The easiest for me would be to copy a couple of pages from the Chrysler CD that I have which gives the steps for doing it and has a figure as well.
So I need to know your email address: send a follow-up but choose the 'private' option. Then in the text list your address. I will attach the pages to an email I send you back.
