Chrysler Repair: 97 sebring coupe 2.5L: trans code 23, solenoid pack, transmission control module

Question
Hi. My car goes in limp mode I'm getting code 23.  2-4 OD pressure swith circuits.
And code 80.  Body computer odometer failure.   Could you please help.  Can I test anything to pinpoint the problem? Or do you know what's wrong?    Thank you.

Answer
Hi Junior,
The 23 code is one of several possible for different pressure switch circuits. Its  possible causes are:
the pressure switch's sense circuit is either open or shorted to ground between the transmission control module and the solenoid pack
or the circuit could be shorted to 12v
or the solenoid pack could be defective
or the transaxle could be overheated due to excessive regulator valve leakage (located in the valve body) which causes high line pressure which results in 2-4 solenoid blowoff into the 1st and 3rd gear. If it only happens when hot it may require a new valve body
or the valve body bolts may be loose
or a plugged internal filter inside the transmission due to failures shedding debris
or a defective transmission control module.
You might want to drain the transmission and observe for debris in the pan which if excessive would suggest a rebuild may be necessary.
Before that, check the wiring between the tcm and solenoid pack
You could check the pressure of the 2-4 clutch circuit at the tap under specified conditions.
The solution if that were the case would possibly be a new solenoid/pressure switch assembly.
Let me know if you want details and have the tools to do the tests.

I don't find a code 80. Are you sure of that number?
