Chrysler Repair: egr valve, dodge grand caravan, grand caravan

Question
1999 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L 4-speed Auto 150K

The system did not allow to ask another follow-up question, so I am asking a new question. I had the starting problem (starting after 3-4 secs of cranking). While checking the van again, I believe I did a mistake. While the engine was running at idle, I pry the egr valve stem. As a result, the engine died and now it will not start again at all.
Any idea as what happened?
Thanks

Answer
I suspect that the valve is stuck ajar. Either try to return the stem to the closed condition or take off the valve entirely and clean out the passageways and get the valve stem to move freely again (against spring-action that tries to close it in one direction). That is all that I can imagine has happened.
