Hi, how do I replace the driver's side check arm on a 2001 Sebring convertible

Hi Dan,
You have to remove the trim panel on the inside of the door and the plastic sheet that is behind it to get to the bolts that hold the check strap to the front edge of the door. Then you remove the bolts that hold the other end of the check strap to the door frame. I have the '00 and the '03 manuals and while similar are not identical about removing the trim panel. Do you happen to know if your '01 is like the earlier or the later model as regards the door panel? If it is like the later model I have an '04 manual on CD and can attach the page about removing the panel if it applies to you '01. Otherwise I need to photocopy and postal mail you the page from the '00 manual.
